About rucking
Rucking is simply walking with a weighted backpack. It takes an everyday movement and turns it into one of the most accessible, functional, and rewarding ways to build strength and endurance.

Simple training with real results
Adding weight makes walking work harder for you. Rucking builds cardiovascular fitness, engages your core, and strengthens your back and legs without complex movements or specialist skills. It delivers a solid workout while remaining gentle on joints compared to running.
Stronger body. Clearer head. Good people. Simple training.

Open to every fitness level
You do not need to be super fit to start. All you need is comfortable footwear, outdoor clothing, a sturdy backpack, and a small amount of weight—even just a few kilograms. You decide your weight, pace, and distance.
At The Ruck Club, there is never any pressure to keep up. Your weight. Your pace. Your challenge.

The community behind the ruck
Based in Cambridge, The Ruck Club is an open community group for anyone who enjoys walking or running with a pack. We meet for regular outdoor sessions, swap training tips, and support each other through friendly community events.
Whether you want headspace, performance gains, or simply great company outdoors, you are always welcome.
"I joined with just 5kg in a regular daypack. The group made me feel completely welcome from minute one, and it is now the highlight of my training week."
